— Ensemble I · August – November
Marching Band.
Seventy-five students. Eight home games. Four competitions. One show. The Knoxville Central Bobcat Marching Band is the signature performance ensemble of the fall season.
— About the Ensemble
The Flagship Ensemble.
The Bobcat Marching Band is Knoxville Central’s largest and most visible performing ensemble. Every student in the band program participates — from the 75-piece field show ensemble to the pit percussion, drum major corps, and color guard.
The fall season runs from the first day of band camp in late July through the final competition in November. Students rehearse six days a week during the season — marching the field during morning practice and refining musical technique during class periods.
Membership is open to all students in grades 9–12 who are currently enrolled in a Knoxville Central band class. No audition is required for the marching ensemble — commitment, attendance, and effort are the only prerequisites.
